I am 63, & graduated from high school in 1977, the year Farrah Fawcett’s iconic swimsuit poster was released. Young girls quickly changed the hairstyle from long, straight, parted down the middle to the fringe, or ‘wings’ style very similar to your recent haircut with the fringe bangs. My 14-yo high school freshman granddaughter and I have also noticed many clothing repeats from the 1970’s and 80’s—prairie dresses, dresses with ruffled tiers, bell bottom pants, ruffles, ties, and/or cuffs added to blouses, preppy style of golf shirts, pleated plaid skirts and what we called ‘waffle stompers’ redesigned into chunky sole boots, and more styles. I told my granddaughter to make note of the styles over the next four years to see if they come back again in 40 or 50 years.
